The Kyusho International Tactical Application Courses (KTAC) are the most cutting edge training courses available today. These courses are designed as the pinnacle of personal and family protection skills training. It is an unfortunate fact that in the face of a direct threat to you or another unthinkable act such as Columbine or Virginia Tech - you may be the one on the scene. Law enforcement is forced into a role that brings them on scene usually after the fact and after the blood has been shed. History clearly demonstrates that the first line of defense is and armed and trained citizen. It is our goal to provide the necessary skills to serious students that understand this danger and are willing to stand in the gap.
The KTAC program is broken into two primary components – a bi-annual KTAC intensive and ongoing ascending modules.
Bi-Annual KTAC Intensive
The bi-annual KTAC intensives are also promoted as Complete Combatives. These courses are designed to cover much of the same standard KTAC curriculum in a shorter and summarized fashion. They will cover the first three KTAC modular levels. Traditionally these courses are 3 days in length depending on location.
KTAC Modules
These individual modules are offered throughout the year. Currently there are four training modules and then instructor level. Successful completion of each previous level is required for enrollment in the next level. Modules one through four are presented below. Certificates of accreditation in Kyusho Tactics will be awarded for completion of these courses.
Each level will be presented individual fashion and those that successfully complete a level, may continue to the next.
The KTAC is a certification course. Upon completion of a KTAC, you will be certified in one level. Upon completion of any additional KTAC’s, your certification will build upon your current level. Level one graduate will move to level two etc.
Module One: Introduction To Tactical Applications (Fundamentals)
This module will focus on three primary sections.
First is an introduction to firearms and the principles of defensive shooting. This course provides a variety of basic defensive handgun techniques. This class is for both beginning and intermediate shooters. Topics to Include: Defensive handgun techniques, fundamentals of marksmanship, master grip, administrative gun handling Vs defensive gun handling, shoot don't shoot, situation awareness, verbal challenge, color codes of awareness, layers of response and more!
Secondly, it will teach the fundamentals of tactical movement with a firearm. In this section, the student will be exposed to a shoot house using simunition type weapons. Using both static and human assailants in protective gear, you will navigate a structure and engage hostiles. Additionally we will instruct in low light techniques as well.
Third and finally, you will be trained in Kyusho Jitsu based gun and knife stripping. These techniques are simple, powerful and exceptionally effective. As with section two, you will be exposed to a practical application exercise of techniques learned. Each student will be tasked with entering a structure and engaging hostile subjects using the open hand techniques previously trained. This is an increasingly stressful scenario and will culminate with what has sarcastically been called "The Fun House".
This module is designed to expand on the fundamental skills gained in the level one course. It includes all previous components and adds the use of a knife for active threat elimination. You will begin to train in effective shooting from a variety of positions and barricade techniques as well as other aspects of close range gunfighting including multiple targets. Additionally you will be trained using a force on force scenario in which you will begin to learn to use off angle defense motions. Modules two and three are considered to be cutting edge in many related fields. With this being said, we consider the actual detailed content of the course to be close hold and do not openly discuss it. Course content will be shared with participants only.
Module Three: Advanced Tactical Applications / Movement
This module is designed to build once again on all previous components. You will train in extreme close quarter shooting as well as other aspects of close range gunfighting. This level will focus on movement while shooting. This is an extremely advanced course. Modules two and three are considered to be cutting edge in many related fields.
