Carbine


CQB Carbine

This course will teach effective techniques and principles for using a carbine as a close quarter fighting weapon. We will cover modified shooting positions, CQB weapon retention as well as fire and movement in close quarters.

Duration: 2 Days

Equipment

    * 500 rounds of rifle ammunition minimum. Factory ammunition only
    * Centerfire Handgun in a minimum defensive caliber of .38 or larger
    * 200 rounds of handgun ammunition. Factory ammunition only.
    * Min. 3 quality rifle magazine
    * Spare ammunition pouches, carrier, or magazine holster
    * Quality holster and magazine carriers
    * Quality belt
    * Sling
    * Ear and wrap around eye protection
    * Clothing suitable for the weather ("There is no bad weather, just bad clothing!" -Pat Goodale)
    * Cap with a brim
    * Rugged shoes or boots

Optional Items

    * Knee/elbow pads, etc.
    * Quality (SureFire-type) flashlight (if required by the course)

Prerequisites

    * Tactical carbine or similar course
 

 
Advanced Tactical Carbine

This course will expand on our Tactical Carbine course and add live fire drills inside a shoothouse as well as baricades. This course will also introduce the use of a backup weapon if there is a primary weapon failure. This is a high speed course designed to push you and your weapon to its operational limits.

This course is designed to instruct the individual in the safe handling of their chosen carbine.  This course will include detailed classroom instruction and practical application with a crawl, walk, run process.  Subjects covered will be the appropriate mindset, mental awareness levels, equipment selection, weapon handling, shooting stances and positions, malfunction drills, multiple target engagement, shooting under self induced and exterior induced stress, tactical decision making drills utilizing various types of cover and barricades and the conduct of safe weapons range fire. More advanced skills will be learned and the basic skills will be reinforced with various shooting drills and situations.

Intro to Carbine

This course is an introduction to the use of a carbine as a defensive tool. It covers the fundamental skills of shooting such as reloads, sigh alignment, trigger control and body position. Students will hone their skills to a razor’s edge in this challenging course. Students can expect to see dramatic increases in their speed, accuracy, and manipulation techniques during this course.
